Finding more ways to celebrate an amazing sector

Events, News | March 17, 2022

The logistics awards 2021

After the success of last year’s awards event, the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards are set to be launched later this month, with new categories to recognise even further the amazing contribution made by so many people in the county to keep goods on the move.

The date – Friday, September 16 – has already been set for the glittering awards ceremony and the organisers have announced that MHA MacIntyre Hudson remain on board as headline sponsors.

Companies and individuals from across the county are invited to enter any of the 13 categories, which include some old favourites and a few new awards to vie for.

There will still be the likes of the Apprentice of the Year, the Diversity & Inclusion Award, and HGV Driver of the Year, while new categories include:

Unsung Hero: targeted at anyone who might be involved in the supply chain at any stage – this award will go to someone who has made a difference, and helped the sector and their colleagues to be the best.

Environmental and Sustainability Award: to recognise any projects or activity put in place to use resources more efficiently and
minimise waste.

Community Engagement Initiative: as one of the county’s biggest employers, the logistics sector is very much a part of the community at large. This award will celebrate a project that really made a difference, whether that’s charitable efforts, volunteering, improving the environment.

Tony Bellott, Chairman of the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, which organises the awards, said:

“Holding the awards in person last year was a major boost for all of us after a difficult and stressful time during the pandemic, and it was a fantastic night. The logistics sector deserves to celebrate its fantastic achievements, and following feedback from members of the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, we’ve come up with some new ideas this year for awards to widen even further the scope of the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards and give more opportunities to those who would like to enter.

“We’re very excited about the launch event, we’re delighted to have MHA MacIntyre Hudson as our headline sponsor once again, as well as welcoming back some of our sponsors from last year – and a few new ones that we’ll be announcing soon.”

Once the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards are officially open, entries are free and can be submitted via the website. Full details of how to enter and what supporting documentation is needed will be detailed for each category.
