A season to be proud of

In a busy month, several events have come and gone at Northampton Town FC. At the club’s annual End Of Season Dinner, Liam Roberts was named the Northampton Town InTown Automotive Player of the Season as voted for by readers of the Chronicle & Echo.

At the ceremony, other winners were Robbie Gibson who was the Piroto Labelling Disability Player of the Season; Patrick McGrath and Sophie Rylance were the University of Northampton Football & Education Students of the Year; Fraser Horsfall was the GC Stonework Men’s PFA Community Champion; and Liam Roberts also won the Sixfields Travel Away Player of the Season and the Blue Chip Park Homes Players’ Player of the Season.

A new award for the evening saw Eden Brown crowned the Croyland Car Megastore Women’s PFA Community Champion, and Rachael Mumford was the Women’s Player of the Season. Brothers and volunteers Colin and Phil Mold were the TMG Club Persons of the Season. For the T3 Signs Goal of Season, there were joint winners – Aaron McGowan and Mitch Pinnock, and Peter Abimbola was the dbfb Academy Player of the Season. The club also recognised Pete Stephenson, the club’s Academy Education Lead/SEP Co-ordinator/Player Care Lead/VLUK Tutor for going above and beyond this season.

On Saturday May 7, the Cobblers’ last EFL game of the regular season saw a visit to Barrow, newcomers to the Sky Bet EFL this season. With a small stadium and a large away following, Sixfields staged its first stadium beamback enabling fans to watch the game on a big screen. Over 1,600 supporters attended, and the club would like to thank everyone who did so for their support! The club would also like to thank partners Tile Choice, In Town Automotive, Jackson Grundy, Overstone Park School, Gapinsure and Low Farm Dog Paddock for their support of the beamback.

On Thursday May 12, newly crowned East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Premier Division champions Northampton Town Women won 5-0 against Leicester City Ladies at Spencer Community Trust FC, gaining promotion to the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands.

Cobblers season tickets are now on sale from the ticket office or ntfcdirect.co.uk.

Despite the club, like many organisations, having a number of increasing costs affecting many areas of operations, season ticket prices have been frozen once again, which means the price of a 2022/23 season ticket at Sixfields remains the same as it was back in 2011/12 for the majority of categories of tickets, the twelfth season in a row that prices have remained unchanged.

Season tickets are available now here.
