Planning for the future with new appointments

Following a track record of investing in the development of its people, the firm has announced the appointment of two newly qualified solicitors, who both trained with the firm. Solicitor Tanveer Ranshi has joined the Commercial Real Estate team and Ulugbek Gomes-Pessoa has joined the firm’s Corporate & Commercial team.

Having qualified this year, both accepted roles with the firm in recognition of the quality of the training, supervision and mentoring they experienced throughout the qualification process, reflecting the collegial and supportive environment the firm strives to maintain.

Stephanie Simon, People & Talent Partner at Taylor Walton, said:

“Recruitment is currently a significant challenge for the legal sector and makes the nurturing of the talent we have within the firm, more important than ever.

“We have developed an approach that not only helps identify and recruit the very best trainees but allows us to guide them as they seek the ideal environment in which to fulfil their potential. The rotation through teams helps them find the area of law that excites them and the team that best suits their personality.

“Both Tanveer and Ulugbek are bright, committed individuals who demonstrate an innate passion for the law and the difference our work can make to our clients. It is gratifying that in their years with the firm, they have come to appreciate our inclusive and supportive culture.

“We work hard to help each trainee reach their full potential, providing the support and guidance they need to become indispensable members of their respective teams as they make their way in what we hope will be long legal careers here at Taylor Walton.”

Tanveer Ranshi said:

“Being a trainee is always tough, with so much to learn from so many people, but trying to complete your training during the pandemic and having to work from home, makes the outcome even more satisfying.

“My qualification and acceptance of the role here at Taylor Walton stand testament to the effort they expended to help me through my training contract. I believe Taylor Walton is an ambitious law firm with a clear growth strategy that offers me the chance to grow my career.”

Ulugbek added:

“The support provided on a daily basis, to ensure I found the right team, showed a lot of experience and patience on the part of everyone involved, from the People & Talent team to the Trainee Supervising Partners. And we had some fun along the way too, which is important.”
