Over £16,600 has been raised for Cynthia Spencer Hospice at the charity’s fifth annual corporate golf day at Northampton Golf Club in October.
First place winners were Selected Fitness, who retained their 2021 title. In second place was the team from VEND 43, and Action Express came in third place.
Nina Gandy, corporate partnerships fundraiser at Cynthia Spencer Hospice said:
“We’re thrilled by the success of this year’s golf day and that the event has grown again year on year since we launched. We had the most teams we’ve ever had taking part, 27 in total, and to have increased the fundraising total too is a huge bonus. It was great to see some new businesses join in the competition too and enjoy networking with other local firms while supporting our wonderful hospice.”
Syed Ziaullah, managing director of Action Express Northampton, who had not taken part in the event before, said:
“Superb day, thoroughly enjoyed it and well organised. Well done to all the very hardworking team at Cynthia Spencer and the golf club. We will definitely enter again and all for a really worthwhile cause”
The event was again headline sponsored by ACS Recruitment and director Chris Wright said:

We are committed to supporting our local communities too, and can’t wait to be involved in future events. Other individual winners were Michael from team Franklins, Ross from team Tomrom Consulting, Gavin from team Selected Fitness in the Nearest the Pin competition, Claire from The Brady Bunch who won the longest drive, Wayne from UK Football Academy and Mike from Digital Origin in the Putting Competition. The Marshmallow Competition was won by Dan from team ACS Office Solutions.
