HR expert offers business owners free advice amid cost-of-living crisis

Recruitment & HR | November 1, 2022

A Northamptonshire HR expert is offering worried local business owners a free consultation to help them protect their business and employees from the cost-of-living crisis.

As inflation shoots up and the bills are stacking up, many business owners are worried about how to keep their companies afloat. Redundancies may be on the cards, but there may be alternative solutions for many local businesses.

Rachel Collar owns and runs Haus of HR in Towcester.

She said: “Right now it’s a worrying time for everyone. And while households are feeling the pinch, business owners are worried about how they’ll keep their people in jobs.

“Many employers are considering restructuring and redundancy as their only options to help their business survive – but it doesn’t always have to come to that.”

Rachel says that business owners must take three main steps to ride out these tricky times and keep their people happy at the same time.

She said: “First, business owners need to assess the real risks to their business in order to mitigate them.

“Next, they need to review all their options and the potential solutions to these risks. And finally, they need to create a solid plan of action to move forward.

“Of course, this isn’t always easy when you’re so close to a problem. But that’s where I want to help.”

“I truly want to see our local business community thrive throughout all of this, so I’m offering a free hour-long consultation to local businesses. No catch, just me, in your office for an hour, answering questions and helping you to create a plan of action.

“I know I’m in a fortunate position to be able to see many of the ways of keeping a workforce happy without it coming at a big cost to an employer, so I want to share my knowledge and help ease some of the burden right now.”

Haus of HR was formed in 2021 and outsources a full range of HR services to local businesses.

Business owners can arrange their free HR consultation with Haus of HR by visiting hausofhr.com or contact Rachel Collar on 07846 656223 or at rachel@hausofhr.co
