Avid supporters of all things local, they recently sponsoring a fence at The Dingley Point to Point, where Richard’s father was the vet for some 30 years.
The Greedy Gordons Group will be sponsoring Restaurant of the Year in the 2023/24 awards.
“We are stepping aside and letting others in with a chance to win this amazing accolade. I’ve always been a big supporter of local awards and we know very well the benefit of entering!”
“We are very much looking forward to being part of the sponsorship and support behind the awards this year.”
On June 9 and 10, The Greedy Gordons Group is supporting The Music Barn Festival 2023 in Cranford, home of the jewel in their crown, The Red Lion, well known for its food and drink. Fundraising for Northamptonshire charities such as The Hope Centre in Northampton and Kettering Street Pastors, the festival has, to date, raised around £60,000 for local charities.
The Weetabix Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards team is currently looking for nominations and mystery shoppers for the World Cuisine Award (sponsored by British Pepper & Spice), Booker Gastro Pub (sponsored by Booker), Community Café (supported by The Good Loaf) and Restaurant of the Year (sponsored by The Greedy Gordons Group) categories. So, if you have a favourite venue that always puts a smile on your face, or if you enjoy dining out and are looking for somewhere to go, you might you be able to help.
Throughout July and August all nominations and entries for the four dining categories are mystery shopped before the finalists are decided. Anyone interested should email the awards team to register or nominate. Mystery shoppers should say how far they would be willing to travel and mention any cuisine requests, likes or dislikes.
Those shortlisted for the awards will find out if they have won at the awards black-tie dinner on November 1 at the Royal and Derngate.
