With entries for the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards and Northamptonshire Education Awards 2024 pouring in, the difficult task of deciding upon the winners will begin in August once the deadline for entries and nominations has passed.
Once all the entries and nominations have been scored and marked using a bespoke software-based scoring system, and the shortlists drawn up, the trio of judges will have the unenviable task of choosing who will take home the trophies at this year’s awards nights, which will be held at The County Ground, the home of Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.
The business awards will be held on Thursday November 7, and the education awards, headline sponsored by Tick Education, will take place on Friday, November 29. Entries for both awards will be open until Friday, August 23.
Nick Hewer, formerly Lord Sugar’s right-hand man on TV’s The Apprentice, will once again be head judge for the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards and he will be joined in his deliberations by Tim Grantham, Executive and Organisational Improvement Coach at Be.Partners Ltd; Claire Harvey, Managing Director – UK Network at Reed; and Rachel Mallows MBE DL, founder of The Mallows Company and Director of the Weetabix Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards.
Amanda Marlow, who heads up Business Development at Milton Keynes data and AI specialist Aimii will judge the Northamptonshire Education Awards alongside Headteacher at Milton Keynes Preparatory School, Simon Driver; Gamiel Yafai, Founder and CEO of Diversity Marketplace; and Debbie Dymock, Founder and Owner of Northamptonshire Careers.
Ben Thomas, Managing Director of All Things Business, said:
“The awards have grown in size and stature over the years and the standard of entries just keeps getting better. We know that this year’s awards will be bigger than ever, and I would expect the entries to be just as impressive and just as tough to judge.
“We’re very grateful to the teams of judges for supporting us in what promises to be a difficult process.”
The Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards will this year be hosted by Taskmaster’s Alex Horne accompanied by his band, The Horne Section. The Northamptonshire Education Awards will be hosted by the voice of Love Island, Iain Stirling. Tickets for the events will go on sale after the finalists have been announced.
