If ever a sector deserved its special evening after how it’s responded to the pandemic it is logistics – and plans are already in hand to make this year’s Northamptonshire Logistics Awards an event to remember.
Now open for entry, the 2021 awards, headline sponsored by MHA MacIntyre Hudson, will culminate in an awards dinner on Friday, September 10 at the Park Inn in Northampton, giving those in the industry a chance to come together and celebrate after one of the most challenging periods for businesses across the UK.
From the first lockdown in March 2020, freight companies, warehouses and suppliers responded to the entire range of pandemic restrictions, keeping deliveries going and vital supplies stocked as the nation coped with the closure of non-essential retail, gradual opening up, tier systems and further lockdowns.
Now, though, those who helped keep the county running will be recognised by the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards, where 12 awards, from Emerging Talent of the Year and Logistics Company of the Year to Growth Company of the Year, and including the new Diversity and Inclusion Award and the special Chairman’s Award, are up for grabs. Entry is free and you can nominate yourself, a colleague or a business.
The Northamptonshire Logistics Forum is a collaborative working group made up of representatives from some of the leading logistics companies in the county and supported by the University of Northampton and SEMLEP. The forum focuses on the development of the sector locally, while helping to shape the conversation at a national level by identifying the issues affecting businesses – including increased energy efficiency, HR and recruitment.
