Donating to the Blues Foundation has never been so simple after the charitable arm of Bedford Blues Rugby Club announced a new fundraising platform through the UK’s leading fundraising provider, Enthuse.
Since official launch in April 2020, Blues Foundation has been able to impact on hundreds of people from differing demographics and backgrounds through some of its flagship activation and community outreach programmes. The Foundation is extremely proud of all the strides taken in having as great an impact in the local community as possible but needs the public to help continue the widespread support across Bedfordshire.
Since it was launched in April 2020, Blues Foundation’s record includes:
- Over 5,000 hours of physical activity since July 2020
- 21,000 items donated to Bedford Foodbank for Christmas 2020
- Over 5,500 meals delivered to vulnerable families and individuals
- Flagship projects Tackle LIFE, INSPIRE & ABILITY Blues launched and piloted
- Partnerships developed with Bedford Borough Council and Bedfordshire Police, supporting young people at risk of offending
- Relationships built with Bedford College to deliver wellbeing and activity packages
- Over 350 children aged 5 to 15 engaged with as part of the Summer Holiday Programmes
- More families encouraged to exercise as part of the Families Fund Project
- Bespoke physical activity project for Penrose Housing targeting the promotion of positive mental and physical health
The best way to pledge regular support to Blues Foundation is through the CHAMPION scheme which can be set up on the Enthuse platform. This ensures that every penny goes into various schemes and initiatives, while allowing supporters to play a notable role in the decision-making process of future projects.
The Enthuse platform also allows Blues Foundation to claim Gift Aid on every donation, which means all donations equal 25% more to the charity, at no extra cost to the donor. Supporters can help the local community, have a direct impact on work in Bedfordshire and enjoy exclusive Blues Foundation rewards by signing up.
What a donation could pay for:
- £10 could pay for refreshments during the ABILITY Blues disability rugby programme.
- £20 could pay for equipment for the TRY for Change programme.
