Safety in numbers as networking group gathers at new venue

The fifth Collaborate MK face-to-face networking event took place at Hazard Alley within The Safety Centre in Kiln Farm in February, with 82 in attendance.

What a venue! Maya Joseph-Hussain and Jodie Connelly from The Safety Centre welcomed our group of new visitors, people that had not visited for a while and those with special memories of having visited with school. The space worked extremely well, offering fun and unusual areas for breakout rooms, creating an exciting buzz, the chance to introduce new businesses and the opportunity to reconnect with people once again.

Maya Joseph-Hussain, CEO at The Safety Centre, said:

“It was fantastic to see The Safety Centre’s educational department, Hazard Alley, busy with members of Collaborate MK, who lined the streets and filled our spaces, such as the Takeaway, Co-op and the Houses with inspiring conversation. We were proud to demonstrate the interactive, immersive, and essential safety education that we provide to children, young people, and adults.

“Our safety topics cover fire, water, gas safety, railway safety, choices and consequences, knife crime awareness, online safety, drug and alcohol awareness, safe places to cross, bullying, road safety and first aid.

“We are always keen to collaborate and expand into new partnerships and Collaborate MK has been a fantastic group for The Safety Centre to be a part of. We hope attendees enjoyed their visit, whether for their first time, or a trip down Memory Lane.”

Visitors from among the Collaborate MK membership also shared their thoughts on the meeting and venue.

Kylie Anderson, Online Business Strategist and Award-Winning Coach, said:

“What a creative and fun way to network. I love that Collaborate MK not only hosts great networking opportunities that build real relationships, but it showcases interesting local businesses and enterprises as well.”

Jo McClaren from MK Charities, added:

“Fun, supportive and friendly networking at an incredible venue, thanks Collaborate MK for always delivering outstanding networking for all sizes of businesses.”

Amanda Wright from Yellowyoyo, said:

“Relaxed yet professional, most definitely effective and truly collaborative. The perfect way to build the solid relationships that every businessperson needs. It’s the best way to network – and the mix of format and venue means there’s something for everyone.”

Jonathan Hill of One Safety Team Group Limited, concluded:

“Hazard Alley gives a unique venue to network and make valuable connections. Add this to Collaborate MK’s trademark style and you have a perfect synergy and a not to be missed opportunity.”
