Signal Park in Daventry has celebrated its completion with a successful launch event, playing host to commercial property agents from across the Midlands. More than 30 agents attended from Northamptonshire and the wider region, including Milton Keynes, Coventry and Birmingham.
The new scheme has been branded Signal Park to embrace the town’s history with radio transmission. The phrase ‘Daventry Calling’ was, of course, well known across the world with the BBC World Service.
Signal Park is a high specification new industrial and trade counter development comprising a total of 57,100 square feet, with units available from 2,300 square feet upwards. The development and the launch event embraced all things local and regional throughout the project. The new scheme has been partly funded by SEMLEP, the Local Enterprise Partnership that supports economic growth across the South East Midlands. The developers, Claymore Investment Managers, are based at Caswell Science & Technology Park and their chosen contractors, Warwick Burt, are located in Northampton.
In addition, the recent launch looked to support Northamptonshire-based businesses, with catering provided by the Dough Depot, a local artisan pizza company; the furniture from events hire firm Chelsea Hire; and the photography and media support by All Things Business.
Drake & Partners, who have a strong history and background in Daventry and the wider region, are instructed on the new scheme. Signal Park is already proving popular with deals completed, under offer or terms out on nearly 60% of the development already.
Tom Drake of Drake & Partners said:
“The fact that interest in Signal Park is so high from a variety of local, regional and national occupiers is testament to the quality of the development. We have been advising Claymore on the site for a number of years and we have really got the unit sizes right, in terms of market requirements.”
Neal Shegog, Director at Claymore added:
“We are very pleased with our completed product and are delighted with the level of interest and positive feedback we received from agents at the launch. One of the major aspects we have got right is the yard sizes, which we know is very important to occupiers. We look forward to seeing the estate get busier as businesses start to move in”.
