The increasing demand for people requiring mental health and well-being support has intensified over the last few years, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, it is now more important than ever that organisations providing mental health support have the right foundations in place to cope with this growth.
In recent months, Pragmatiq, a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Partner based in Milton Keynes, has worked with Brighton Therapy Centre, to develop and implement a bespoke system that can support the organisation with the rising demand.
A partnership for good
Established in 2012, Brighton Therapy Centre provides counselling and talking therapies to individuals, couples, families, young people and businesses. Its work is largely focussed around helping people to deal with a range of psychological and emotional issues including grief, trauma, anxiety and stress management.
The organisation recognised that its current processes would not be able to cope with the increasing demand and therefore sought a provider to develop a new system. In turn, this would provide a platform that would allow it to continue delivering a high-quality service to more people in need.
Kerry Evans, CEO at Brighton Therapy Centre, said:
“Our processes are complex and, given the sensitive nature of our work, it is essential that we can manage our data securely and efficiently. We looked at various options for developing a clinical system that could meet our needs and arrived at Dynamics as the one system that could cover everything from client records and booking appointments to automated surveys and data analysis.
“We undertook an extensive procurement process to find the right provider. It was clear that Pragmatiq understood our organisation and needs in a way that other providers didn’t.”
After understanding how the organisation worked, its processes and future goals, Pragmatiq established that a Custom Business Solution, leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, would be the best fit for its requirements.
One example of how a bespoke solution would be particularly transformational was around the client referral process: a key element of Brighton Therapy Centre’s work. Multiple stakeholders are involved in this process (councils, occupational health, NHS, practitioners, etc.) which enables new clients to access mental health support. The previous set-up of disparate systems, multiple spreadsheets and manual communication meant that this process was time-consuming and inefficient.
The new system means that Brighton Therapy Centre can now capture all the necessary information (such as initial assessment, client needs, relevant documentation, onboarding, etc) in one system. Once a person is onboarded, practitioners can then also manage sessions and related activities within the system, further reducing the manual administration time previously spent on these tasks.
Overall, by improving the operational efficiency of the organisation, Brighton Therapy Centre has the technical infrastructure in place to provide more people with mental health support as quickly as possible.
Looking to the future
Kerry added:
“We have been working with Pragmatiq for a few months and have been impressed with their approach and commitment to getting things right. We are currently working on expansion plans, and the improved and scalable infrastructure that Pragmatiq has helped us to develop is key to this.
“The whole team is professional, engaged, and reliable and I look forward to working with them on future developments.”
Pragmatiq is delighted to be partnering with an organisation that plays such a crucial role in people’s lives, and looks forward to supporting Brighton Therapy Centre with future projects.
