Celebrating the success of finding a right-first-time solution

Logistics Solutions Group (LSG) are a successful, fast-paced logistics company helping to keep supply chains moving and clients supported, with a mission to always deliver fast, unbiased and comprehensive warehousing and transport solutions to our clients.

As a broker of logistics solutions, we’re constantly dealing with challenges. We don’t tend work on long-term tenders, three-year strategic plans and strategies (not much anyway) most of our clients come through the door with an urgent challenge that needs an immediate solution because something’s already gone wrong and needs fixing yesterday.

Our uniqueness is our ability to work discreetly and seamlessly moving from one challenge to the next with the same passion and vigour as the last one whilst striving to deliver a first-class customer experience and, I can assure you, it can be tiring and relentless to always be in fight mode, because flight just isn’t an option. We pride ourselves on our relentless ambition to support and care for our client’s as an extension of our own business.

What do we do?

With brokering still a relatively niche area within the logistics industry, we have positioned ourselves as an organisation set on professionalising brokering – ‘finding the best solution fast’. We offer access to thousands of UK sites, as well as venturing into Europe. Our services are, most importantly, 100% unbiased and always in favour of finding the client what they need, not simply the easiest, but most importantly what works best for them and their unique requirements.

We played a significant role with healthcare companies during COVID, establishing hub and spoke locations to support distribution, as well as working with three of the top grocers and leading automotive businesses. We’ve shipped tankers from Sweden to Ghana and stored anything between, the only difference between LSG and a bricks and mortar service provider is that there is nothing we won’t do, try or aim to support our clients on – as long as it’s in logistics!

Why we were excited about our awards

LSG were proud to have received nominations at this year’s Northamptonshire Logistics Awards for Team of the Year and Small Logistics Company of the Year and were absolutely delighted when we scooped both awards.

It’s been a tough time over the last few years in logistics and we very much enjoyed celebrating the resilience that the industry has shown with some truly inspirational people. As a business we are relentlessly caring. We don’t stop working at pace until we source the storage solution that bests suits our clients needs, every time.

To us, that epitomises what the logistics industry stands for and we were proud to celebrate it.

Exciting plans ahead for the business

Our partners come to us in crisis, and come back out of choice based on their first-hand experience, as such we are in the process of making some exciting changes within the business ready for our next phase of development. We are investing in new systems, databases, training, and people and we are looking forward to 2023 being the year that we welcome a wide range of new types of client into the fold.

One thing is certain, LSG create lasting memories in the minds of our clients. In an industry many on the outside fail to see the true and exciting opportunities within, LSG is a company offering fresh ideas to the market, paving the way as an exciting, ever evolving company of brilliantly passionate people.

We are aiming to build a business that people don’t want to leave. Where people’s personal ambitions and dreams are explored and linked to our day-to-day roles so we all win together, in every sense.

I just want to shine a light on logistics. I can’t be more passionate about the people, opportunities and sheer array of amazing challenges. I want to spend more time this year promoting our industry to young people because we have such a bad reputation for simply being trucks and trailers, when in reality, we keep food moving and medicines on the shelf.

The outside perception of the industry is worlds away from the opportunities within. It’s an industry that rewards effort, consistency and delivery. The opportunities are abundant for those who work hard and push themselves, and long-term rewarding careers are there if you want them.
