Visitors put lifting equipment to the test

In July, Niftylift unveiled its new fully-interactive machine display
at the Milton Keynes Museum in Wolverton, Milton Keynes.

Since it opened in 1973, the museum has told the story of pre-1970s Milton Keynes, but now, with the introduction of its new Milton Keynes City Gallery, it can tell the story of the modern city as well, and Niftylift is proud to be part of that. The display centres around a Niftylift factory production line with a real HeightRider12LE All-Electric (HR12LE) that visitors can operate.

The HR12LE is one of Niftylift’s new zero-emission, all-electric MEWPs, which is built at the firm’s world headquarters in Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes. The HR12LE is a shining example of British manufacturing, showcasing some of Niftylift’s best innovations and the company’s focus on environmental performance.

Plus, its predecessor was the reason Niftylift came to Milton Keynes in 1988, so it’s the perfect choice for the exhibit. Visitors to the museum are invited to become honorary members of the Test Team, donning a hi-vis and hard hat to take the HR12LE through its final function tests as they control its movements (safely from the ground).

But that’s not all! There is also a video of the HR12LE’s journey from a design concept to its arrival at the museum, some fun, hands-on activities to challenge visitors’ assembly skills and, set to be unveiled soon, an interactive display of the different disciplines that come together to produce a Niftylift.

Niftylift sells a range of cherry pickers, boom lifts and lift platforms throughout the UK, Europe, Australia, China, South Africa and Central and East Asia.
