Fresh new look and a fresh new line-up

Work is almost complete on a new look for one of Kettering Park Hotel & Spa’s key events spaces, and there’s an exciting line-up planned to make the most of it.

The Rutland Suite, which can seat up to 180 people, will be refreshed by the end of this month, ready for the usual busy programme of conferences, business events, weddings and parties.

For some time, the Rutland Suite has been home to the hotel’s Disco Bingo and Jazz evenings but there are some additions to the entertainment calendar.

This summer will see the first Proms Evening, where guests will enjoy dinner and listen to the amazing voice of Northamptonshire-based operatic singer Joshua Daniel, who will entertain in style, delivering some of the classic favourites including Jerusalem and Nessun Dorma.

Fresh new look and a fresh new line-upIn the autumn, there are plans to bring a county-based choir to the Rutland Suite to treat guests to a selection of pop and disco hits, with a lead singer backed by a large choir for a musical evening to remember.

Also available is the hotel’s Rockingham Suite, which holds up to 60 and is popular for weddings and events, as well as business meetings. Those booking the Rockingham Suite can take advantage of the supporting rooms for use as break-out areas and smaller gatherings; and the Business Lounge, which has a café facility for unlimited refreshments throughout the day.

Andrew Hollett, General Manager at Kettering Park Hotel and Spa, said:

“Our Rutland and Rockingham Suites are always popular and offer a vast range of options for anyone wanting to organise their own event, or come along to one of our themed evenings.

“The refreshment of the Rutland Suite will be completed by the end of January, in good time for the wedding season and we look forward to showing everyone the new look.

“Our regular live music events have been growing in popularity, so they will continue, but we’ve added a couple of new options to the calendar and we hope they will appeal to the music lovers of Northamptonshire.”

Upcoming events at Kettering Park Hotel and Spa include:

  •  Disco Bingo – Friday January 19. Instead of numbers being called out, players will hear popular songs that everyone can get up and sing and dance to – with lots of prizes up for grabs.

  • Burns Night – January 25 to 27, including a three-course Scottish-themed menu and a complimentary glass of Highland malt whisky.

  • Valentine’s Day – Love is in the air from February 14 to 17, including sharing dishes and a glass of fizz, as well as the chance to win an overnight stay with breakfast and use of the spa for two people.

  • Mother’s Day Lunch – Sunday March 10 including a glass of champagne and a gift for mum.

  • Jazz Dinner – Friday March 22, including a delicious three-course dinner and live jazz starring Enrico Tomasso on trumpet.
