“During the summer we’re always busy with promotional roadshows and providing large outdoor screens for all kinds of events and entertainment, but we’re now gearing up for an equally busy winter period” said Heather. “Drive in cinemas, where you can stay warm in your own car, are a fantastic way to spend an evening with family or friends, and we’ve got quite a number of bookings for those towards the end of the year.”
“Christmas is the main event, naturally and we’ve already got a number of town centre lights switch-ons lined up, and we work with various venues in the area to help to provide the extra touches that clients need.”
“Sometimes we take on the entire event down to the last detail and the client can leave everything up to us. Similarly, we might get a request from someone who’s found the ideal venue, but the stage isn’t big enough, or they want some twinkling festoon lighting to create the Christmas feel they’re looking for. It doesn’t matter how big or small a part they want us to play, we’re happy to help.”
Winter weddings are becoming increasingly popular, and despite the unpredictable weather at that time of year, many couples want to use some outdoor space to create a special ambience for at least part of their big day.
“Most venues have an area where the marriage service can be held outside, and that’s an ideal opportunity to bring in some festoon lighting for a stunning backdrop for the ceremony and the photographs,” added Heather.
For those looking for inspiration, Ellievision AV’s showroom features displays of AV rigs and equipment, lighting and staging, so that visiting clients can get a clear idea of what is possible and what will work best when they are planning an event.
Tim said: “Having the large showroom, which opened last year, has given us the opportunity to really show what we’re all about and showcase the work that we do. It’s so much easier for clients if they come in and see for themselves what can be achieved, and find out about all the other touches they might need to help to make their event a success.”
“We’ve been doing this for years and by getting to know the client and really working hard to get to know what they want, we can meet and often exceed their expectations. Through our contacts in the industry and through our networking links, we can often help them with all the details they may not have thought of – maybe matching up a colour scheme, or finding someone that can sort out the insurance or risk assessments.”
“Once we’ve come up with a plan, we’ll then make as many site visits with them as we need to until we’re certain we’ve got everything in place – ensuring everything goes smoothly and everyone has a fantastic time.”
