Milton Keynes based Architectural Practice, GSSArchitecture, are celebrating the announcement of Alistair Wilkinson’s promotion to Associate.
Alistair, who is based at our Milton Keynes Studio, joined the practice as a Senior Architect in July 2023. Since joining, the studio has enjoyed considerable success and grown as a result. Alistair’s promotion to Associate is in recognition of becoming a valued member of the Milton Keynes team, through a greater level of responsibility, hard work and business development successes.
In his time at GSS Architecture, and building upon his considerable experience and portfolio, Alistair has had the opportunity to work on a varied array of projects and sectors at different work stages. This includes the £12.5M Net Carbon Zero in Operation extension to Bedford Academy, other secondary school and university projects, large scale residential projects including Blackbird Leys in Oxford and redevelopment masterplans.
As part of Alistair’s role, he has been an active mentor within the MK Studio, he is part of the Sustainability Innovation Group and will be joining the Continious Improvement Group in the New Year. Alistair is also working on some additional inhouse projects as well as working toward becoming a Principal Designer for High Risk Buildings.

In addition to the promotions within their Milton Keynes Studios, the Practice is celebrating similar successes further afield. Seb Smart, located at the Northamptonshire Office has been promoted to Associate. Meanwhile at our Yorkshire studio Alex Proctor been promoted to Partner alongside Daniel Wallace and Heather Murgatroyd who have both been promoted to Associate. Whilst in our Newcastle studio, Leo Bourke and Shannon Walker have been promoted to Senior Architects.
