Award-winning school marks another successful year for GCSE results

Students and staff at E-ACT Ousedale School, recently named Milton Keynes School of the Year at the Milton Keynes Education Awards, are celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results, as Year 11 pupils collect the grades that will take them on to further education, apprenticeships, and sixth form study.

The school, part of the E-ACT multi-academy trust, has seen strong and improving outcomes across a wide range of subjects with many students achieving top grades and making excellent progress.

Some of the many individual success stories include:

  • Owen Souster, who achieved 9 grade 9s.

  • Mason Gates, who achieved 6 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s.

  • Zenix Whapham, who received special recognition from OCR Cambridge as a top performing student nationally for health and social care.
  • Sofia Lowrie, who achieved 5 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s.

Ousedale headteacher, Paul McFadden, said:

“I’m incredibly proud of what our Year 11 students have achieved. These results are a testament to their commitment and determination.

“Our staff and families have supported them every step of the way, and today we’re celebrating not just grades, but the journey each student has taken to reach this milestone. We look forward to welcoming many of them back into our sixth form in September.”

Tom Campbell, CEO of E-ACT, added:

“Congratulations to the students of Ousedale School, their results reflect the culture of ambition and care that defines this school.

“As a trust, we are committed to helping every young person succeed, and Ousedale’s GCSE outcomes are a great example of what’s possible when schools, families and communities work together.”

This summer’s GCSE success follows a series of high-profile award wins for the school. Earlier this year, E-ACT Ousedale School was named ‘School of the Year’ at the 2025 Milton Keynes Educational Awards, recognised for its innovation, achievement, and overall impact.

The school also won ‘Best Creative School’ at the Milton Keynes Inspiration Awards, highlighting its commitment to providing a vibrant and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
