Delapré Abbey enters the festive period with a thoughtful programme designed for organisations seeking meaningful ways to bring teams and clients together. This year’s winter offer combines seasonal experiences with the Abbey’s characterful historic setting and marks the beginning of an expanded corporate events programme that will unfold throughout 2026.
Indoors this December, groups can enjoy the Dickens’ Afternoon Tea in the library from December 13 to 21. Blending festive flavours with the warmth of the Abbey’s booklined surroundings, it offers a calm and atmospheric way for teams to mark the end of the year. For organisations looking for something similarly intimate, Don’t Go into the Cellar: A Christmas Carol returns on December 20 and 21. Performed in the 17th-century wine cellar, the production offers a distinctive evening option that feels both seasonal and immersive.
Christmas Sunday Lunches continue to provide a relaxed, seasonal choice for teams wanting a simple way to gather without formality. Served in the Abbey’s historic rooms, The Orangery’s Sunday Lunch with a festive twist features a range of locally sourced produce – including vegetables from Delapré Abbey’s very own kitchen garden.
For those drawn to the Abbey’s 900-year history, Candlelit Tours on December 8 and 9 invite visitors to explore the house by soft illumination, revealing a quieter and more atmospheric side of the building. The tour is hosted by one of Delapré Abbey’s History Volunteers and guests can enjoy a delicious warming snack and drink. These smaller-scale experiences work well for teams or client groups seeking something reflective and a little different from a typical seasonal outing.

Murder Mysteries also return this winter, offering a lively, interactive option that encourages collaboration without feeling structured or corporate. Importantly, they form part of a much broader expansion planned for 2026, when Murder Mysteries will be part of a larger suite of private-hire experiences designed specifically with corporate groups in mind. Organisations will be able to build these events into tailored away days, hospitality packages, or standalone team-building sessions.
This expansion is part of the evolution of the Abbey’s corporate offer next year, which will see the introduction of Taste of Hibiscus, opening new opportunities for food-led events, tasting sessions and bespoke hospitality built around high-quality dining. Alongside this, the estate will introduce additional formats for networking, staff appreciation and client engagement, all designed to make use of the Abbey’s historic spaces in fresh, adaptable ways.
With a winter programme already in motion and a strengthened, more flexible corporate events offer arriving in 2026, Delapré Abbey continues to develop as a distinctive destination for organisations seeking experiences with depth, creativity, and a strong sense of place.
