Start the new year with a fundraising challenge

As we head into 2026, now is the perfect opportunity to set meaningful goals, embrace a new challenge, and look forward to a new year. What better way to channel your enthusiasm for a fresh start than by taking on a fundraising challenge for charity?

Ride High is a children’s charity that provides an essential support service to vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. As the charity receives no government funding, support from the local community through fundraising is essential in enabling it to continue to support 120 children a week.

Taking on a fundraising challenge means you will be helping to improve the lives of children in the community while also challenging yourself. Ride High is looking for individuals to kickstart their year with a purpose by participating in one of its upcoming fundraising challenges.

Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend

For those aiming to improve their health and fitness, the Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend is the perfect incentive to get started. Taking place on Monday May 4, participants can choose between the half or full marathon routes. Ride High has a limited number of free charity places available and will provide fundraising advice and support, as well as be there on the day to cheer runners on as they run through Milton Keynes, crossing the finish line at Stadium MK.

Ride MK Cycling Festival

Ride High is also excited to share that its Ride MK Cycling Festival is back for a second year recharged with new routes. After an incredible debut in 2025, the Ride MK Cycling Festival is returning on Sunday June 13 – celebrating Milton Keynes’s love of cycling while raising vital funds for Ride High.

The inclusive fundraising event invites riders of all ages and abilities to get involved and help make a difference. They can choose from one of the four carefully planned routes: 100km and 50km road routes, 25km Redway route or a 1.6km Ready-Set-Go route specifically for children (under eight years). Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, there is a route for everyone.

Starting and finishing at Ride High Equestrian Centre in Loughton, the event promises a buzzing festival atmosphere, with food stands and family activities for participants and spectators to enjoy. Every cyclist will receive a Ride MK medal to celebrate their achievement with the additional option of a free ice cream or bottle of beer.

Charity Skydive

For thrill-seekers, Ride High is offering an adrenaline-filled skydive on Sunday September 13 at Hinton Skydiving Centre in Brackley. This challenge is perfect for those looking to conquer fears, check an item off their bucket list, or simply experience something extraordinary. The Ride High team will greet participants on the day and, with the support of an experienced tandem instructor, the adrenaline of the freefall followed by an exhilarating canopy ride guarantees it will be something they’ll never forget. The experience will be made extra special knowing that they will also be helping to raise money to support vulnerable children.

Taking on a Ride High fundraising challenge is about more than personal achievement – it’s about creating memories, growing in confidence and giving vulnerable young people the chance to thrive. By joining a challenge in 2026, you can help ensure even more children receive the life-changing support they deserve.
