Silverstone sisterhood solidarity for International Women’s Day

It’s been a momentous six months for the female staff at Northampton-based Silverstone Leasing, who are marking International Women’s Day this week by shining a spotlight on the sisterhood of support they’ve created at work.

The whole Preston-Deanery based company are a tight-knit team, but none more so than the workforce’s five women – Embrace Leasing Consultant Aby Mason, Customer Care Manager Michelle Williamson, Customer Care Executive Mandy Colby, Customer Care Team Leader Amber Thorpe, and Accountant Sophie Norville.

In the last six months, the quintet has had plenty to celebrate. The team championed Sophie’s fancy footwork in Strictly Northampton back in November, in which she wowed judges and scooped the runner up prize.

In the same month, the ladies flanked Michelle at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards 2025, where she was a well-deserved finalist in the Employee of the Year category cheered on by her peers.

Recently the team has also given Amber a pat on the back for her promotion to team leader, and when Mandy joined the fold last year, it was Michelle who supported the recruitment process to ensure a smooth transition into the team.

Aby, the longest serving member of the team, has just marked her 13th work anniversary.

Silverstone Leasing managing director Scott Norville said: “Our team culture is something I am immensely proud of here at Silverstone Leasing and our female staff have made an unshakeable bond after working together daily, which is a pleasure to witness.

“The theme for this International Women’s Day is Give To Gain which focuses on the power of reciprocity and support. Our team is a great example of that concept, the more you give to the team, the more you gain from it.

“We rise together here and champion each other, always.”
