Stars of education start preparing for their big night

Stars from across the education sector were in the spotlight as the finalists for this year’s Milton Keynes Education Awards (MKEAs) have been announced.

As news of the multiple finalists was revealed, all winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony, taking place on Friday June 19 at DoubleTree by Hilton Milton Keynes.

A host of famous faces, including Eamonn Holmes, Louie Spence and Matthew Burton have previously hosted the awards. This year, Gail Emms MBE, a former badminton World Champion, whose inspirational work encourages young people to stay active and get into sport, will be the host. Tickets are on sale for the awards ceremony, which will be attended by dignitaries and leaders from across the education and business sectors.

Ben Thomas, awards founder and Managing Director of awards organisers All Things Business, said: “We’re delighted to officially reveal the fantastic finalists for this year’s Milton Keynes Education Awards. We are incredibly proud of how these industry-leading awards continue to grow in popularity year on year.

“It is testament to the talent we have in Milton Keynes’s excellent education sector and demonstrates the level of outstanding work, which is helping young lives thrive in the region’s schools and colleges.”

Now in its fourth year, the prestigious awards recognise the wealth of talent in the Milton Keynes education sector, celebrating the achievements of the schools and teachers who provide children across the city with the learning experiences they need.

The MKEAs also celebrate personnel, teams and schools, from headteachers to subject-specialist individuals and teams, and those working with children with individual needs. Brioche Pasquier is headline sponsor of the awards and this year’s charity partner is Willen Hospice.
