With entries already coming in for the third Milton Keynes Education Awards, to be held in the city in July, there’s a chance for businesses to find out more about what they can do to support the education sector within their local community.
The awards are organised by All Things Business to celebrate the schools, teams and individuals that do so much to nurture our young people and give them the start they need in life to play a full part in the workplaces of tomorrow.
Kickstarting the build-up to the event – to be held on July 11 at the Leonardo Hotel on Midsummer Boulevard in Milton Keynes – will be a celebration of the Milton Keynes Education Awards at the MKFM Meet of MK on Thursday, March 27 at 5pm.
Held at the Unity Sky Lounge, the event will be the perfect opportunity for businesses to find out more about the awards and how they can get involved.
Ben Thomas, Managing Director of All Things Business, said: “Anyone who knows us knows that our mantra is Business Needs Education, Education Needs Business. The schools, teams and individuals we will be celebrating at the Milton Keynes Education Awards in July are producing the youngsters who will become the workforce of tomorrow.
“We can’t help them celebrate their achievements without the backing of the business community and we’re inviting any companies that want to show how committed they are to throwing the spotlight on our amazing education establishments and their staff; and that are keen to demonstrate how strongly they value the communities in which they work and live, to find out more about how they can help.
“Being a sponsor of one of our awards isn’t just about helping to make the MKEAs bigger and better again this year, it’s about being part of an occasion that means so much to us; to our finalists, their colleagues, friends and families; and to Milton Keynes as a city.”
All Things Business holds an Outstanding accreditation from the Awards Trustmark scheme, a testament to the way the awards are organised, judged and run. Headline sponsors this year will once again be Brioche Pasquier UK, while category sponsors already on board include Apertus Group, Aegis Support Services and SH Pratt Group. An announcement will be made soon on the host of the awards, after two amazing hosts in the shape of Eamonn Holmes and Louie Spence in 2023 and 2024.
Ryan Peters, Managing Director of Brioche Pasquier UK, said: “At Brioche Pasquier UK, we bake and we develop, baking our viennoiserie products for the country whilst developing locally our business connections, our community engagement and, most importantly, our people.
“We immerse ourselves in our locality and use our concept of ‘territorial anchorage’, to build relationships to try to give a little bit back. Our local education sector is extremely important to us, the young people of Milton Keynes are the future bakers, engineers, or sales teams that we will need to continue producing and selling our products.
“We have opened our doors to many local schools over the last two years and will continue this going forward, not only to showcase what we do but also to give some meaningful advice for the future career endeavours of the students.
“That’s why we are proud to sponsor the MKEAs, to celebrate the achievements of all those involved in teaching and guiding the future generations.”
