A fairway to support an important cause

Following the success of recent fundraising efforts, Blues Foundation has announced details for another fun-filled Charity Golf Day at Bedfordshire Golf Club on Thursday July 6 to help raise additional vital support for the charity.

This will be the fourth Charity Golf Day held by the charitable arm of Bedford Blues, following similar events at The Bedford Golf Club, Pavenham Park Golf Club and Bedford & County.

Across the three previous events, over £8,000 has been raised towards the future work of the charity and that supports disadvantaged and vulnerable young people across the county.

Four-balls are now bookable and cost £280 per team which includes all green fees, breakfast bap on arrival, a hot meal post-round, fantastic prizes and a great day out!

After last year’s event, Bedford Blues legend and now key sponsor of Blues Foundation, Sacha Harding said:

“It’s been great to learn a bit more about Blues Foundation and what they’re doing to help everyone in the community. It was just awesome to see some of the guys I used to play with and to learn about the other side of the club, and see that Blues Foundation are doing good things.”

Recent Premiership winner and 44-cap England wing, Chris Ashton said:

“It was great to be at the Blues Foundation Charity Golf Day. Hopefully all the money that we’ve raised can go towards good causes.”

Bedford Blues legend, Ben Whetstone added:

“I had a fantastic day on the Blues Foundation Charity Golf Day. It’s the first time anything has felt normal for a long while; great company and great to see Blues Foundation keeping up their good work in the community.”

As well as a day of friendly competition between friends and colleagues on the course, prizes will be available for winning teams and best score, as well as longest drive and nearest the pin competitions.
