Blues Foundation have re-launched their Try January project following the success of the 2021 event which saw people across the county raise vital funds for future charitable work.
The programme asks participants to be be active for 31km across 31 days of January. That can mean running, walking, cycling – even paddleboarding – it’s up to the individual.
All the Blues Foundation ask is that those taking part share the journey with others to raise awareness using the #TRYJanuary hashtag across all the Blues Foundation social media channels, or donate to the charity by donating £1 for every kilometre, or encouraging friends and family to do the same, or, even better, do both.
TRY January is about getting active at the start of 2022, something we can all benefit from in the new year, and doing it in whatever way feels most comfortable.
Those wishing to take part can register their interest at the Blues Foundation website, where all the details about signing up to the campaign are available. There’s also a fundraising page on the website which contains a wealth of information about the all the projects that will be supported with the funds raised.
The challenge can be completed in one go, or spread out across the month, but the important things is to post photos on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn and use #TRYJanaury throughout the month.
Last year, funds were used across a variety of projects, including providing hot meals to those most vulnerable in the community and support for further activity provision.
