Wednesday 29th October, 2025: West Ham United fans have a unique chance to grab one of this season’s shirts for free by trading in an old kit at a ‘shirt swap’ market stall run by the club’s Principal Partner, BOYLE Sports.
Hammers supporters aged 18 and older attending the home clash with Newcastle United at London Stadium on November 2nd will be able to visit the stall before the match, with a limited number of this season’s shirts up for grabs for free.
To mark the occasion, the BOYLE Sports shirt swap market stall will be manned by former West Ham United striker, Marlon Harewood, who will be on hand to meet fans and hand out the new shirts.
The stall will be open from 11am and situated next to the iconic Olympic Bell. Fans who miss out on the one of the new shirts will still be able to trade in their old kits for up to a £30 discount on a new 25/26 replica shirt at the West Ham United Stadium Store. Supporters will be able to complete their trade-in at the stall via Birl’s online portal then redeem their credit in-store.
Every shirt handed in on the day will be recycled and repurposed by sustainability supplier, Birl, ensuring the initiative leaves a lasting impact beyond matchday. The old shirts will be transformed into new West Ham-inspired apparel and accessories, giving cherished colours a second life and keeping fabric in circulation.
West Ham United became the first Premier League team to work with Birl, launching ahead of the 25/26 season which has seen fans able to exchange old shirts for a discount on the new one.
Commenting ahead of the activation, Liam McKee, Head of Sponsorship at BOYLE Sports said: “Our relationship with West Ham is built on passion, pride and community – and that’s what the Shirt Swap market stall is all about. We want to give fans a chance to get their hands on the new shirt, show off their passion and do something positive for the planet.
“From giving away scarves at the first home match of the season, to taking over Stratford Station and our branded taxis providing transport for fans, we’ve loved being part of the matchday experience and the Shirt Swap takes that to another level.”
Former West Ham United striker and Club Ambassador Marlon Harewood added: “I played in so many iconic shirts during my time at West Ham and this year’s home shirt is another great design, so I am looking forward to giving plenty of new shirts to Hammers fans this weekend. I think the shirtswap initiative the Club and BOYLE Sports are leading on is a fantastic way to champion sustainability and engage with supporters, I am excited to be part of it!”
This latest initiative continues BOYLE Sports’ commitment to engaging with West Ham United on matchdays with further activations and giveaways planned through the remainder of the season.
