Brian Harding of Catalyst Land Solutions (CLS) and his family were proud to visit the new SWAN Room, on the Talbot Butler Oncology Ward at Northampton General Hospital, which will feature a plaque celebrating the life of Brian’s late wife, Claire, who died earlier this year.
Kerry Messam, Deputy Lead Nurse for Palliative and End of Life Care, said:
“The room offers a bespoke space to support not only the dying person but those important to them, providing a less clinical environment.”
Brian added:
“When we became aware of the initiative to develop these rooms, CLS and our family were keen to assist, having experienced first-hand the massive benefits these types of rooms can offer to families facing end-of-life situations.
“CLS donated the cost of providing the room, which we hope will provide comfort to families for many years to come.”
