Client feedback shows strength of legal teams

HCR Hewitsons’ Central England team has gone from strength to strength since client demand led to moving into new offices in November last year – attracting new expertise and growing its teams. And the newly released Legal 500 rankings suggest the firm shows no signs of slowing down.

The report is a trusted leading legal directory, listing the top lawyers and law firms from around the world. The team has been top ranked for the region across an impressive five key practice areas, including Corporate and Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Agriculture and Estates, Charities and Not-For-Profit, and Personal Tax, Trusts and Estates.

The Central England team also has four lawyers identified as Leading Individuals, as well as one in the prestigious Legal 500 Hall of fame – which is reserved for those who are considered to be at the top of their profession and leaders in the market.

As part of the report, clients are invited to anonymously share their experiences of working with the firm.

One satisfied client wrote:

‘The individuals I have dealt with at HCR Hewitsons are always personable, responsive, understanding and inquisitive. They are also pragmatic when required.’ The team are later described in the report as being ‘very responsive and prompt with work, particularly when timescales and project deadlines are approaching. This level of responsiveness was extremely reassuring and provides a positive, engaging and pleasant experience. There is good communication within the firm across different teams.’

As a full-service law firm, the HCR Hewitsons’ Central England team covers a wide range of legal specialisms; something which is reflected in the variety of client commendations. The team, which has deep ties with the community and deep sector understanding, particularly in agriculture, technology, manufacturing and property, is described by another client as providing ‘clear, practical advice in a cost-effective manner. The team worked closely with us to deliver the desired outcome. Excellent communication and a high-quality, responsive service.’

Strong communication, thorough knowledge of a variety of practice areas and being quick to make the first move has also led to praise in the leading legal directory. A client said:

‘The team is proactive, rather than reactive. A fantastic support network to accommodate any specialisms needed across the time, collaborating on difficult or complicated matters – meaning you’re always getting the right, and best, advice.’

The office is headed up by Dominic Hopkins, Partner in the Dispute Resolution and Technology teams and Charlotte Thornton-Smith, Partner in the Corporate team. Following the release of the Legal 500 directory, Hall of Fame member Dominic said:

“Top-tier rankings and outstanding client quotes on our service qualities show that we continue to be leaders in the field. Our strong ties with the region are clearly reflected in the latest report – it’s been a really positive year so far for us with new hires adding to the breadth of expertise and knowledge across the team. We’re looking forward to what the rest of the year holds.”

Charlotte Thornton-Smith said:
