Giving the best possible customer experience counts for so much in hospitality, from taking bookings and making payment processes as smooth as possible to providing a warm welcome when guests arrive.
Technology plays a major part within venues and Simply Techspace provides not only a knowledge of products and services available, but combines that with the experience to create bespoke solutions, backed up by tech support that is on hand whenever a client might need it.
The Northamptonshire company has recently agreed a new partnership with Delapré Abbey to ensure that state-of-the-art technology and 900 years of history can exist side by side for the benefit of staff, visitors and event organisers.
Matt Dann, who founded Simply Techspace in 2023, said: “We work closely with a lot of clients in the hospitality sector, and we are very proud to now be working with Delapré Abbey, one of Northamptonshire’s most historic and iconic venues.
“Technology really made its mark in hospitality during the Covid pandemic and it has grown in importance ever since. It’s vital to have the systems that work for the business, but then at somewhere like Delapré you need a solution that is in keeping with the surroundings and doesn’t involve infrastructure work that isn’t always possible in heritage buildings.”

Part of the solution, and particularly important for events like the Food Festival that is being staged as part of this month’s Northamptonshire Food and Drink Week, is high-speed connectivity that is not a fixed installation but can be moved around the venue and only used when it is needed.
Equally important to ensure any event runs smoothly is the back up of support staff should any issues arise.
Simply Techspace Services Director Dan Entecott has worked closely with the team at Delapré to create a bespoke package that covers all bases.
He said: “Vendors and customers rely on wifi coverage for payments wherever their stall might be situated, so coverage and connectivity is key. Similarly, data security is important when you’re taking customers’ payment details or personal data, but perhaps the biggest advantage is having support to call on should you need it.
“Our bespoke packages mean that technicians can be available seven days a week to react if there are any problems, and that’s peace of mind for clients who are at risk if systems aren’t working well.”
Amanda Nichols-Polinska, Head of Commercial, Operations and Projects at Delapré Abbey said: “We are delighted to be working with Simply Techspace, and with the opportunities that has opened up for us. The Delapré Abbey site has a unique and wide ranging set of needs with a real need for technology that works as and when we need it and across the whole of the site. Dan, Matt and the team have embraced that and delivered workable solutions for us.”
Technology plays a key part in allowing hospitality venues to automatically greet returning customers, perhaps ‘remembering’ what they enjoyed the last time they visited and giving them the option to buy again, or the chance to take advantage of a relevant special offer or suggestions as to what they might like. It also gives venues measurable results about customer interactions.

Simply Techspace has worked with a number of large hotel chains nationally and internationally to install connectivity and screens for conferences and meetings. Conference rooms can be fitted out with the technology they need to provide audio visual services and telephony for guests within the venue and for those joining from remote locations.
Where necessary, Simply Techspace works with partner company Simply Workspace should clients need a new configuration of a room or want to create a space for conference and meeting rooms.
Within hotels and guest accommodation, TVs in rooms can be configured to show a personal greeting when the guest arrives, and to link to concierge services or special offers.
Matt Dann said: “More than any other sector, hospitality relies on making the customer experience a welcoming and pleasant one and little touches like automatic wifi connection for returning guests mean a lot.
“Each client is different and so there are no one-size-fits-all solutions, we offer completely bespoke packages to make sure we’ve covered all their needs. Through our experience with some of the biggest names in the business, and in venues across the world, we can help hospitality get the most from a broad range of technology solutions to give their guests or customers the experience they deserve.”
