Help to replace pain with pleasure

For an employer, ensuring the health and wellbeing of staff is of paramount importance, particularly in the difficult, stressful times we’ve experienced in recent times.

Sometimes, stress in the workplace can be a positive thing – it gets the adrenaline going and pushes people to go out of their comfort zone and achieve something they didn’t think was possible. But what about when that stress is negative – when it brings fear and anxiety and holds someone back from reaching their goals?

Recognising the issues and reaching out to help employees not helps prevent sickness absences and lack of motivation, it can deliver positive results in terms of improved performance and hitting targets, so benefiting the employer as well as the individual.

Far too often, someone’s fear of failure, or of being judged will have a detrimental effect on their work.

These fears are entirely in our own minds, usually based in something hidden deep in our past, but they are very real and they have serious consequences.

What can be done to help?

RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) works with the subconscious mind to get to the root causes of a problem quickly and effectively. Will power along cannot break the chain of a bad habit or fears. The rules of the mind are that the brain likes what is familiar. It needs to be trained to change.

Whatever there is in someone’s life that’s making them behave a certain way, it’s probably grounded in something that happened back in their childhood. RTT works by helping clients recognise what that was and deal with it.

So, a fear of speaking in public could be to do with being made to feel foolish at school, or fear of underperforming at work may link back to being judged by parents or peers.

An RTT session usually lasts around 90 minutes, and most clients will need one or two sessions. Positive alternatives to the thoughts listed above are suggested to replace the pain with pleasure and the client is given ongoing support to completely change the way they think.

So, after RTT someone will learn to think along the lines of:

  • I will succeed
  • I can’t fail, I can only learn more about what I need to do to succeed
  • No one has the power to make me feel stupid

At the moment, many people have additional challenges brought about by changes to their working routine due to the pandemic. Staff may feel anxious about going back into the office or reaching targets without the same level of support from their colleagues. Their concentration might be affected by working from home, and they may be struggling with their sleep patterns if they not in a routine.

People struggle for too long with things that are holding them back, RTT gives them the chance to step into a new and brilliant future with a new-found belief in themselves.
