Football club scores sports stars sponsorship

Croyland announced its latest partnership with Higham Town F.C. which will help teams of youngsters achieve their goal to play football for the club.

The significant investment by the Northamptonshire business, based in Rushden, will provide funding for more than 100 football shirts and allow dozens of fledging footballers to take to the pitch.

The latest sponsorship support from vehicle sales specialists Croyland, enables the thriving club to expand further, offering opportunities for children wanting to get into football to kick off their playing pursuits. Coach and club committee member, Dan Thompson, said everyone at Higham Town F.C. welcomed the latest investment from Croyland.

Dan said: “Croyland has been a long-term partner with the club, and this investment enables us to grow the club, increasing the number of teams we have for younger ages. Croyland’s invaluable support helps us invest in kit for those teams, enabling us to offer football player places to many more kids. A lot of the growth at the club has been in teams including under sevens, under eights and under nines and adding teams has resulted in us taking on board more than 60 new players.”

Dan has been a coach at the club for three years and a volunteer since his son Ryan, now 15, first joined as a player in the under 11’s team. Dan highlighted how he’s seen first-hand the big difference it makes for children who join the club, who form friendship groups and grow in confidence.

Mark Swindells, General Manager at Croyland, said: “We are delighted to extend our ongoing support for Higham Town F.C. It is fantastic to hear what a difference our latest sponsorship deal will make to the club and how it will help inspire the football stars of tomorrow. Croyland’s commitment to the football club is one of the many ways we help local clubs, charities, groups and organisations who do such amazing work in the heart of our community.”

Caring Croyland’s latest partnership announcement will help to buy essential kit for players giving many more young sports stars the chance to play.

Dan added: “This is the largest investment we have had at the club for quite some time and for us that means we know for the next three to four years we are able to continue to offer places and have the capacity for those levels of player numbers for the long-term.

“Everyone at the club is incredibly grateful to Mark and the team at Croyland for their ongoing sponsorship support, particularly in the times we are in, when it is difficult for businesses. So to have this support at that level is great and we will put the money to good use.”
