Different and bold, from concept to completion

Northamptonshire and its surrounding counties are getting a new construction company that is different, bold and offers further benefits to its clients.

FormFive is a new business developed by Matthew Abraham and Matthew Kemshed and its aim is to become the contractor of choice from Concept to Completion. FormFive wants to be the partner of choice and work in collaboration with developers, project management companies, architects, investors and, importantly, the wider supply chain. Their services include viability studies, project planning, design management, cost management and construction.

Its emphasis in the market is to break the mould of what a traditional main contractor can and is willing to provide. As part of gaining a strong foothold in the local construction sector, FormFive is also focusing on support services that complement the work of other professionals.

Matt Abraham said:

“Construction can be a very impersonal sector and sometimes the client can end up having a rather torrid experience, simply because they end up feeling they are not in control and don’t know how things are progressing and they’re worried about mounting costs.

“FormFive is new, different and bold, and our five core service model makes us different from traditional main contractors as we can envelope all services for developers, project management companies and investors. Our approach is to see things from the point of view of the client and break down the barriers to the free flow of information, through the efficient use of technology, so that they are kept up to date every step of the way.

“The construction sector is sometimes slow to adapt to new ways of working and we want to disrupt that.

“We will make clients’ lives easier and make them feel connected to their own projects, but it can also lighten the workload of the other involved parties, because they are using us to bridge gaps and deliver a joined-up solution.”

As it becomes more established, FormFive is aiming for a balance of around five ongoing full construction projects at a time, running alongside the variety of services on offer.

As family men, both founders are keen that the values that informed their decision to launch their own venture will be carried through the evolution and growth of the firm, drawing people to work both for them and with them.

Matt Kemshed said:

“Our lives are very much family orientated and that means a lot to us. Our priority as business owners is to support our families and, hopefully, create something that we can hand on to our children one day. We want people to understand that this is how the business operates, in a relaxed and informal environment, with a personal touch and a real interest and focus on our partners and in how we work with other professionals.

“We want to partner with you and the supply chain. We will do things differently and are keen advocates of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).

“The idea is to be more open with clients than is the norm within construction, and to embody processes that are solution-led. If a project management company comes to us and says they’ve hit difficulties and want advice on budgets, building costs and programme we don’t want to say something isn’t going to work… it’s all about working collaboratively to find a solution that works for them.

“For us, it’s about building good relationships, showing what we can do and that we’re not out to replace designers or project managers but to come in and work with them to get the end result the client is looking for.”

Ideally, FormFive would be looking to get involved with construction and development projects in their very early stages, when the firm’s expertise and advice can make all the difference to the project being given the green light, and then remaining involved throughout the construction process.

Matt Abraham added:

“Our aim, in time, is to be the partner of choice when taking a project from Concept to Completion, working #togetherasone, and our ethos of ensuring our client is looked after will give us favourability over the competition. We are offering a product where we are happy to control risks and deliver against our client’s expectations.”

FormFive is now live and operational with both Matts keen to engage the market and deliver a better experience for all. FormFive would love to discuss your immediate construction needs and deliver this for you.
