Harness innovative simplicity to unwind and recharge

Providing a welcoming and comfortable place to stay isn’t enough for Hilton Northampton – work is going on at the moment to create a space where guests can unwind, recharge, and leave feeling better than they did when they arrived.

As part of a renovation project that started in April, the hotel is introducing a new semi-private Wellness Area designed to cater to both physical and mental wellbeing. This new area will be available from the end of June to guests that have booked either a Wellness Guestroom or a Wellness Package, which includes a calming 90-minute session in the Wellness Area during their stay.

Emma Coen, general manager of Hilton Northampton, said: “We believe that true hospitality goes beyond offering comfortable rooms and delicious dining. In today’s fast- paced world, wellness is no longer a luxury but a necessity, and we are committed to integrating it into every aspect of our guests’ experience.”

The new wellness facilities include:

  • Sauna: where guests can detox and de-stress in soothing heat.
  • BubbleSpa® shower: to refresh with a unique, invigorating shower experience. Kelda’s unique bubble rain spray form creates large droplets filled with air that fall softly on the body for a luxurious shower feel. Known as BubbleTapping, the shower emulates the soft rhythmical fingertip tapping practice that is synonymous with traditional Swedish massage, a technique that is well known to provide numerous health benefits including blood circulation improvement, strengthening of the immune system and muscle relaxation.
  • Aroma Room: where guests breathe in tranquillity with calming scents. The Aromatherapy Room incorporates heated walls and bench seats operating at around 35°C to 40°C. The user is cocooned in the gentle warmth whilst being totally relaxed by the infusion of natural aroma- therapy essences into the room and soothing lighting.
  • Relaxation Area: find your zen in a serene, peaceful space supported by a Wellness Coach. The Social Wellness Coach allows guests to theme rest moments, transform- ing them in actual experiences of deep regeneration.
These include Mindfulness, Breathing and Music.
  • Zerobody Dry Float: an innovative system to regenerate body and mind. Developed on the basis of the broad scientific research on the benefits of floatation in water, Zerobody Dry Float is an effective and versatile solution for Dry Float Therapy: the body floats over 400 litres of warm water, without the need to get undressed or wet. The Dry Float Therapy takes advantage of the benefits of floatation to allow body and mind to regain energy in an easy and versatile way that suits everyone. Zerobody Dry Float, a one-of-a-kind system offering the benefits of reduced gravity, is a technological innovation in the service of regenerative wellbeing that produces a positive impact on stress, muscle and joint pain, sleep, focus and psycho-physical recovery.

On top of this amazing wellness experience, Hilton Northampton will see the first UK installation of the complete Recovery Suite from Starpool, with both the Zerobody and Cryo Dry Float in one location.

“We have a number of leading professional sports signatories who will be among the first to try the combination at Hilton Northampton, as part of our collaboration over the coming weeks,” said Sean McGran from Starpool.

Hilton Northampton will have the Cryo Dry Float on site for approximately six weeks. The Cryo Dry Float is Starpool’s revolution fortheworldofColdTherapy:innovativeinitssimplicity, safetyand accessibility, it features a patented water membrane that wraps the body entirely without the need to get wet, so guests can arrive from the gym, spa or beauty treatment to use the product.

The hotel also offers a fully equipped LivingWell Fitness Centre for both hotel residents and external members, a beauty treatment room and, later this year, Hilton Northampton will also be offering two Five Feet to Fitness guestrooms offering Peleton bikes and yoga enhancements for use in the privacy of newly refurbished bedrooms.

In all, Hilton Northampton has 144 bedrooms that are ideal for business guests during the week and then, at weekends, for visitors to the area looking to enjoy some of the local leisure pursuits, from big sporting occasions to a host of attractions and entertainment venues.

For businesses the hotel has eight flexible spaces that can accommodate meetings, conferences and presentations, with an events team ready to help with room hire, catering and equipment hire.

Emma Coen said: “The new Wellness Area is a new dimension for anyone looking to add some relaxation therapy into their visit to Hilton Northampton. It’s exciting to see how the likes of the Zerobody Dry Float, and the Cryo Dry Float, which will be on site for a few weeks, giveourgueststheopportunitytotrysomethingnewanddifferent.”

The Wellness Area will need to be prebooked as it is an exclusive area with capacity limited to up to 10 guests at any one time.
