Hawsons has introduced its recently developed Core Values, which are integral to the way the practice operates. The six values are Lasting Relationships, Ever-Evolving, Personable, Empowerment, Utility and Quality. The values were launched in July last year and the firm have been keen to ensure staff understand each value and how they are incorporated into the everyday environment. These apply to both the staff ethos and to the services offered to clients.
The values are fundamental to the firm and how it does business, they implement a positive working environment for staff and create an identity to show what Hawsons is truly about.
Teams comprising two staff members, excluding partners, from each office were tasked with working together to define the values of Hawsons as a firm.
Corporate Services Manager at Hawsons Rhiannon Mistry, said “I have loved being part of the team working on the values and, even better, educating staff on them. We are really impressed with the enthusiasm we have seen from staff since introducing the six core values. They have been taken on board following the firm’s investment in holding workshops and activities for staff to engage in. These have opened new conversations that are encouraging how we demonstrate these values and promote the future of Hawsons. The office atmosphere has been exemplary and we can’t wait to promote this more in 2023!”
The values are central to the retention of employees and to staff recruitment. Hawsons is transparent in molding new recruits into the firm’s way of working, focusing on investing time into staff training and development in order to build lasting relationships. At Hawsons a number of members of the team have progressed, both since they started training and even 10 or so years onwards. The firm is proud of its continued investment in graduates and school leavers annually, it is always encouraging new people on board and everyone is always open to new energy around the office.
