Family-run home and garden specialist LeisureGrow has announced a new partnership with AIT Home Delivery to enhance its final mile service for John Lewis customers. The move comes as LeisureGrow continues its commitment to premium service and product delivery, reflecting the expectations of its retail partners and end consumers.
Founded 25 years ago, LeisureGrow is a major supplier of garden furniture, barbecues, lighting, and pet products through brands including LG Outdoor, Grillstream, Petface, and NOMA. The company counts major UK retailers such as Aldi and John Lewis among its core clients.
AIT now handles two-person home delivery for LeisureGrow’s LG Outdoor and NOMA products sold via John Lewis. The partnership resulted from the need to meet strict Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintain high customer satisfaction levels—critical in a competitive retail environment.
AIT also offers total flexibility enabling customers to nominate their preferred day of delivery.
“When delivery performance falls short, even if the product is perfect, the customer experience suffers. That was a major driver behind our move to AIT,” said Simon Gregory, National Account Director at LeisureGrow. “With AIT, we’ve seen a reduction in lead times, improved reporting, and far more proactive communication. It allows us to give John Lewis customers a smoother, more professional experience.”
Simon Gregory also stressed the importance of the delivery team’s role: “The driver is the only person the end customer sees—they’re representing both LeisureGrow and John Lewis. From how the vehicle looks to how the driver interacts with the customer, everything matters.”
AIT’s robust tracking and reporting systems also mean issues can be addressed before they escalate. “It’s all about being proactive,” Simon Gregory added. “Even if there’s a hiccup, knowing in advance gives us the power to manage it before the customer is affected.”
The success of the collaboration has already prompted internal discussions about expanding AIT’s role across other LeisureGrow brands. With strong summer sales and eyes on further European growth—especially in barbecues and pergolas—LeisureGrow is exploring how AIT’s growing European presence could support international expansion.
James Langer, AIT Home Delivery’s Business Development Manager said: “We’re proud to be supporting a respected British business like LeisureGrow. Our shared focus on customer service, efficiency, and continual improvement makes this a natural partnership—and one we’re excited to develop and support LeisureGrow as it continues to extend its presence.”
