The owners of some of the best-known venues in Northamptonshire has launched a bespoke events service that provides customers with a range of spaces to hire for anything from a business event to a wedding celebration.
MPG Events, the new events offering from McManus Pub Group, was officially launched last month at The Brampton Halt. Guests from across the business community were invited to find out more about MPG Events and to sample some of the group’s legendary hospitality.
MPG Events offers organisers the choice of a range of different spaces across Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire, whether they are looking for a traditional pub, private marquee or garden space. The venues are perfect for weddings, birthdays, baby showers and wakes – but they’re also set to appeal to a corporate client base looking to host meetings, team building days or to entertain clients.

The company’s message is Think Differently, inviting guests to see the potential in hosting events at a venue where business and pleasure can mix, providing professional business space with meeting rooms, TV screens, projectors and audio-visual equipment, as well as the option to combine that with the chance to socialise and enjoy a drink and a meal before, during or after the event.
Venues in the MPG Events portfolio include Barratts in Northampton, The Swan at Lamport, The Sun Inn at Hardingstone and Shipmans in Northampton town centre. At the launch event, guests from businesses across the region were given a taste of what MPG Events has to offer with food, drinks and a marquee set up with a variety of table settings including a meeting, a formal dinner, wedding breakfast and a Christmas party.

Former rugby star Alex Waller took part in a Q&A session with Tom, discussing his journey from sportsman to business owner, establishing his heirloom furniture and bespoke woodwork business Waller and Wood and how he’s utilised the leadership and teamwork skills he learned from his days in professional sport.
Daniella Murray, Sales Manager at MPG Events, was also on hand to welcome guests, answer questions and provide additional information.
