Another successful year of Bedford Blues Business Lunches has now concluded, bringing together local companies in informal settings to network and learn more about Bedford’s premier sporting club.
Hosted on the last Wednesday of every month at the club’s Goldington Road base, the meetings include a two-course meal and are the perfect way to mix business and sport, alongside meeting and connecting with local businesses from Bedfordshire and the nearby counties.
Throughout 2024, delegates have been treated to talks from a key number of stakeholders at Bedford Blues including Director of Rugby, Mike Rayer; Chief Operating Officer, Gareth Alred; Club Director, David Owen and many first-team players.
Additionally, keynote speaker Sam Roberts has paid a visit to talk about his career, starting out in the town of Bedford and now becoming one of the most recognisable voices, both in rugby and wider afield.
The Business Lunches reached maximal capacity in nine of the 11 sittings throughout 2024 so anyone who would be interested in joining for one in 2025 needs to get in quick!
The plan for the new year is to follow a similar format to the success of previous years, with a few new innovative tweaks to ensure the Business Lunches are front and centre of all things sport and business.
Retaining the slot of the last Wednesday each month, each meeting begins at 12:30pm with half an hour of informal networking, before a visit from the particular month’s guest.
After the speech, lunch begins, with a chance to again connect with fellow delegates in the room, both at the table and after the formal proceedings of dinner service.
Prices are just £22 per person, with a small discount for club sponsors.
