Real change not loose change…

In support of Milton Keynes Homeless Partnership, and its ambition to make the district safer, sparkling, mobile, intelligent and amazing, MyMiltonKeynes has installed brand-new ‘Tap to Donate’ points in Central Milton Keynes.

The new donation points enable shoppers, diners and employees to give a donation directly to the city’s homelessness charity, which makes a real difference to those that so desperately need it.

Milton Keynes Homelessness Partnership is a collaboration between public, private and voluntary organisations working together to end homelessness in Milton Keynes, by delivering affordable housing and support needed to provide homes for good. Partners include multiple agencies, providing free support for those struggling with issues from mental health to money management.

MyMiltonKeynes has committed to fully fund the introduction of donation points, currently located at intu Milton Keynes, Jury’s Inn, John Lewis Customer Collections and Network Rail at The Quadrant, with the desire to introduce a network of up to twelve terminals across the city centre. This commitment ensures 100% of donations reach MKHP and those people in need, but also drives awareness of alleviating cash related crime from our streets.’

Sarah Crowhurst of Milton Keynes Homelessness Partnership explains: “We are so grateful for the support of MyMiltonKeynes in funding this fantastic alternative giving campaign, a great way to enable people to help those that are genuinely homeless, and support our long term ambitions to find a solution to the homelessness crisis in Milton Keynes.

“From emergency shelter to temporary housing, we work with Milton Keynes Council and homelessness charities, aiming for ‘no first night out’.”
