Northampton-based Panther Logistics, a leading UK two-person home delivery specialist provider, has opened the doors to a 224,000 square foot flagship depot in Swindon – the company’s biggest site so far.
The new facility, which is situated on Thornhill Road in South Marston, Swindon, represents a financial commitment of over £18.5m. Featuring 100,000 square feet of bulk storage and 15,000 pallet spaces, it reflects Panther’s growth and increased commitment to its warehouse and fulfilment offering in response to ever-growing customer demand. Indeed, since 2021, Panther has increased its warehousing space by over 400,000 square feet.
Renowned for its dedicated, market-leading premium, next-day two-person and nominated-day delivery services, Panther now has eight depots nationwide including its head office on the Lodge Farm Industrial Estate.
The site, which is already being used by major furniture retailers Sofa Club and Out & Out, Snug Furniture and Blue Badger, provides a huge hub with excellent logistics links to the south, enabling deliveries from Gloucester to Brighton.
The extensive site houses a vast warehouse space plus a new storage space facility offering additional business growth opportunities, state-of-the-art training facilities, a canteen, and breakout areas for staff to enjoy games of ping pong and pool.
Heading up the teams at the new depot are Steven Hills, General Manager, and Ryan Mitchell, Two-Person Home Delivery Operations Manager.
