Pegasus Lift Truck Training continues to expand by bringing on board new skills and services alongside new hire Alex Floyd.

Qualified service engineer Alex joins the team at Pegasus this week, adding to the extensive range of forklift and materials handling training and safety services already offered by the Northamptonshire-based firm.

Using his 12 years of experience as a service engineer locally, Alex will bring a new skill set to Pegasus. He will also be qualifying as a trainer to help meet the increased demand in the sector.

Alongside this the company has achieved CFTS Accredited status to deliver Thorough Examinations – a legal requirement for handling equipment equivalent to a vehicle MOT test. It is a great accolade for Pegasus, which continues to go from strength to strength.

Dawn Girardi, who founded the company with husband Giuseppe (Pepe) in 1995, said: “We’re very excited about having Alex on board because he adds another string to our bow. He is very well known in the local area and his expertise means that we will now be able to carry out service inspections and Thorough Examinations, not just for our clients but for anyone who has lifting equipment.

“Many companies tend to go through their insurance providers, but Pegasus can now offer the service alongside our on-site training.”

Hundreds of drivers a year are trained by Pegasus, which acts as a safety and training arm to clients, working alongside them to deliver certificate checks, new starter assessments, specialist training for those with language difficulties and much more. As well as being able to offer Thorough Examinations with the arrival of Alex, Pegasus now offers another new training service, which is for VNA drivers who require Emergency Evacuation Escape Route Abseiling from high levels.
