Ready for Another Year Celebrating the Very Best

Entries open next month for the 2024 Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards (NBEAs) and the Northamptonshire Education Awards (NEAs), two of the biggest events in the county’s awards calendar.

Organised by All Things Business, the NBEAs were founded in 2018, and the NEAs in 2019, to celebrate the best of the business and education sectors. Always a glittering evening, the NBEAs have been hosted by big names including Jimmy Carr, Sir Trevor McDonald and Rob Beckett; and NEAs by Eamonn Holmes, Louie Spence and Matthew Burton, from Channel 4’s Educating Yorkshire.

Such has been the success of both events, they have been awarded Outstanding by the Awards Trustmark scheme, which was established with the aim of encouraging more award programmes to focus on their own ethics and transparency. The scheme scrutinises everything from criteria, scoring, feedback, transparency and judging.

This year, some new categories have been announced; Employee of the Year and Venue of the Year in the NBEAs; and IT Champion, Unsung Hero, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion in the Northamptonshire Education Awards.

A host of sponsors are already on board, including Tick Education as headline sponsors of the NEAs, but there are still opportunities available for businesses who would like to get involved.

Ben Thomas, Managing Director of All Things Business, said: “I get excited each year when the time comes to launch the awards because it brings it home to me how important these occasions are to the business and education sectors.

“Over the years we’ve celebrated some of the biggest companies in the county, and we’ve also recognised those smaller businesses that are the lifeblood of the economy and given them a reason to celebrate and a reason to promote themselves and grow their businesses on the back of winning an award. And we’ve also seen just how much winning means to all those educators as they make their way up to the stage to pick up their awards.

“Our motto has long been Business Needs Education and Education Needs Business and we are delighted to work with both sectors to give all those people that work so hard within them the credit they deserve. We’d like to thank all the sponsors who have helped us make these events happen over the years, many of whom have signed up again for this year – we genuinely couldn’t do it without them. There are still sponsorship opportunities for any business that wants to get involved in two events that really mean so much to so many people.

“We’ve got some great announcements planned over the next couple of months about when and where the awards will be held, and who our hosts will be for 2024, so watch this space!”
