Ringing the changes with launch of specialist communications division

With telephony and connectivity facing significant changes over the next 18 months, and the BT switch off looming, a Northamptonshire company has launched a third division to offer specific specialist services to clients across all sectors.

Simply Techspace and Simply Workspace was established nearly two years ago to offer technology support and workplace solutions, creating a single point of contact for customers.

Now, Simply Commspace has been launched to focus specifically on telephony and business mobiles. Two team members have been made directors of the business and a third member of staff taken on to complete the new Commspace team.

Matt Dann, Director of Simply Techspace, said: “Telephony has always been part of the Simply Techspace remit but we felt it was time to separate it out into a third sister company due the increasingly important role it plays.

Pasquale Cerbelli and Alan Buckley, our telephony specialists, are now directors of the new business, and they will be a point of contact for clients who are just looking for telephony and business mobile services, but with the knowledge that they are able to call on all the other services from Simply Techspace and Simply Workspace should they need them.

“The launch of Simply Commspace is a form of futureproofing, as the company grows we felt it was important to focus on what is a fundamentally important part of the business, particularly with the changes ahead of us.”

BT will be switching off its traditional landlines, known as the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), by a final deadline of January 31, 2027. That means all telephone lines will have to transition to a digital system that uses Internet Protocol via a fibre-based service.

BT’s advice is that any business still using a traditional phone line should be looking to move off the old network by the end of this year to ensure services are safeguarded.

Simply Commspace offers leased lines and broadband; connectivity for business via its own cloud-based system through Ericsson and LG; and provides hardware and mobile contracts with the likes of O2, Vodafone and EE, as well as handsets and headsets, staff mobiles and radios.

Simply Commspace continues the development of Simply Techspace and Simply Workspace, and together the three companies will provide an expanding range of services to clients across not only Northamptonshire but with large national and international firms.

Simply Workspace provides workplace solutions that maximise efficiency, working with developers to draw up plans so that the needs of the end user are incorporated from the start, whether it’s a complete office fit-out or simply providing a new suite of furniture. Simply Techspace makes harnessing digital technology easy and efficient through software, hardware, cabling, IT support and cyber security.

Client Nathan Keogh from All Eco UK, said: “Working with the team at Simply Commspace has been an exceptional experience from start to finish. From our very first conversation, Pas and his colleagues demonstrated a clear understanding of our needs and presented a range of tailored solutions to meet both our standard and bespoke requirements. Their ability to adapt and customise their offerings was particularly impressive, ensuring that the final implementation was perfectly aligned with our operational goals.

“Furthermore, their aftercare and ongoing support have been outstanding. Whether via phone or email, the team have always been responsive, approachable and quick to address any questions we had as we familiarised ourselves with the new system.”

Jon Bautista, Director of Simply Workspace, said: “Connectivity is increasingly important, and our feeling is that over the next ten to fifteen years, it’s only going to keep heading in that direction. Effective communication is the backbone of any business – we work with a lot of clients in the engineering sector, for instance, that rely on us for CAD design systems and computer software, and they need reliable communications throughout the business and with their clients.

“Mobile contracts and a range of up-to-date devices – including camera phones that provide an easy way to capture videos and images so businesses can share ideas and progress between colleagues and with their own clients – deliver efficient task management.

“And our system is highly protected, which is vital for all businesses these days with the threat of cyber crime, particularly when you’re storing client data, financial details and information that needs to remain secure.

“Most businesses are using cloud-based telephony now, but there are still a lot that have legacy telephone lines and they will need to make sure they switch before the BT deadline. That seems like some time away now, but it’s best to make the change as soon as possible to a system that is reliable and secure.

“Simply Commspace can provide any business with a free evaluation of their current system and advise on the improved services that are available.”
