Silverstone is proud to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Pringle, has been appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2026 King’s New Year Honours List. The honour is in recognition of Stuart’s services to motorsport.
Stuart has been an integral part of the leadership at Silverstone since 2006 when he took on the role of Club Secretary for the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC), the prestigious members’ club that owns and operates the world-famous race circuit. The BRDC reinvests all profits into the future of the sport, and over the years, this has supported the career development of current F1 drivers Sir Lewis Hamilton MBE, Lando Norris, George Russell and Oliver Bearman.
Stuart was appointed CEO of Silverstone in 2017. Under his leadership, the iconic motorsport venue has transformed into a leading leisure destination, setting new standards in world-class entertainment and fan experience. Significant projects during his tenure include securing the long-term future of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix and delivering multimillion-pound infrastructure developments, such as the Silverstone Museum, the recently launched Escapade trackside accommodation and the soon to open Kart Silverstone.
David Coulthard MBE, President of the British Racing Drivers’ Club commented “Stuart’s passion for, and dedication to, Silverstone and the British Racing Drivers’ Club over the past twenty years, combined with his strategic vision to create a year-round leisure destination with motorsport at its core, will secure the future of our world-famous circuit for generations to come. We are delighted that this has been recognised and it is an incredibly proud moment for our circuit and the club.”
