As we head into 2025, the new year presents the ideal opportunity to set meaningful goals, embrace change and look forward with purpose. What better way to channel your enthusiasm for a fresh start than by taking on a fundraising challenge for charity?
Ride High is a local children’s charity that provides an essential support service to some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. As the charity receives no government funding, support from the local community, through activities such as fundraising efforts, are essential in enabling it to continue to support 120 children a week. Committing to a fundraising challenge not only works towards the self-improvement we all strive for, but also means you will be helping to improve the lives of children in the community.
Ride High is inviting individuals to kickstart their year with a purpose by participating in one of their upcoming fundraising challenges.
For those aiming to improve their health and fitness, the Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend is the perfect reason to get started. Taking place on Monday, May 5, participants can choose between the half or full marathon routes. Ride High has a limited number of free charity places available and will provide training and fundraising advice and support, as well as being there on the day to cheer runners on as they make their way through Milton Keynes, crossing the finish line at Stadium MK.
For thrill-seekers, Ride High is offering an adrenaline-filled skydive on Sunday September 28 at Hinton Skydiving Centre in Brackley, Oxfordshire. This challenge is perfect for those looking to conquer fears, check an item off their bucket list, or simply experience something extraordinary.
The Ride High team will greet participants on the day and, with the support of an experienced tandem instructor, the adrenaline of the freefall followed by an exhilarating canopy ride guarantees it will be something never to be forgotten. The experience will be made extra special knowing that you will also be helping to raise money to support vulnerable children.
Ride High will also be launching a new and exciting sponsored event for the summer. The charity is not giving away too much at the moment, but it does involve fundraisers jumping in the saddle, so watch out for further information.
Taking on a fundraising challenge with Ride High is more than just a personal accomplishment, it’s an opportunity to create unforgettable memories while stepping out of your comfort zone. In 2024, Ride High supported over 300 vulnerable children and young people. By signing up to one of the challenges you’ll be part of the 2025 journey, helping support even more children in the community.
