Technology provider continues growth with new appointment

PragmatiQ Solutions, a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Partner based in Milton Keynes, continue their growth by announcing the appointment of new Commercial Director, Sam Fogwill. As he settles in, Sam shares some thoughts on his new role:

Tell us a bit about yourself and your reason for joining the team at PragmatiQ Solutions…

My background is in data, digital marketing and CRM technology, working for companies that provide services around these areas. I’ve known Jamie and Stuart (Co-Founders of PragmatiQ Solutions) for a long time and have followed the success of their business alongside the growing popularity of Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Joining at this time felt like a natural step, not least because the values and culture are a great fit. We recognised this early on, and that, combined with my background and the growing opportunity to support businesses with Bespoke CRM Systems and Custom Business Solutions,  helped all the pieces fall into place.

There is no doubt the last year has brought unprecedented challenges for businesses. In your field what are the main challenges you are hearing?

Firstly, it’s important to recognise that 2020 has been an incredibly difficult year for many businesses. PragmatiQ have been fortunate to grow, but there have been significant challenges for us all.

These vary by company and industry, though some of those we commonly hear include:

  • Shifting from office-based working to remote, practically overnight.
  • Culture, trust, flexibility, collaboration, productivity etc. are under the spotlight. They now need to be enabled and fostered more strategically.
  • Archaic and outdated systems that no longer cut it. Digital transformation is now a top priority for businesses to exist, not only evolve – in whatever shape that takes for them.

PragmatiQ have supported a variety of businesses over the last year with challenges across these areas; helping to ensure business continuity, efficiency, and collaboration.

There is clearly a lot to consider for companies that need to embrace digital change and new technology. In your experience, where is the best place to start?

It sounds obvious, but to start with there needs to be consensus within an organisation around its challenges and goals. More specifically, what does the best version of the organisation look like? Understanding where the company is today and what the ideal state looks like sets the foundation. From there, identifying the gaps in data, technology, people, and process, preventing this from being achieved, are the building blocks.

Some companies can get to where they want to be themselves, whilst others will work with a technology partner to help them on their journey. If working with a partner, the right cultural match, a deep understanding of business challenges, technical expertise and full alignment around target outcomes will be key.

What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead?

We’re starting to build great awareness now, so this is an exciting point in PragmatiQ’s growth. We are also moving to a new office space in Milton Keynes in the next few months, so it will be great finally meeting the team in person (I hope)!

From a personal perspective, I’m looking forward to getting to grips with the technology. Helping our clients move away from rigid systems to something that can be completely tailored around their individual needs is challenging, but extremely fulfilling.

I’m also excited to network across the area. I moved here six years ago with my family and have heard great things about the level of collaboration and support across the business community. I’m looking forward to building new connections and working with some great businesses in what I’m sure will be another eventful year!
