The return of the most immersive experience in rugby

Northampton Saints’ ground-breaking hospitality experience – the Tunnel Club – has now reopened within the inner sanctum of cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.

Launched back in 2019, the Tunnel Club is a revolutionary suite beside the players’ changing rooms which boasts unparalleled views of the tunnel.

The totally immersive experience allows supporters to get closer than ever before to the action pre- and post-match, and Franklin’s Gardens remains the only rugby venue in the world to boast such an offering.

During the coronavirus pandemic, where matches were played behind closed doors or with limited capacity crowds, the Tunnel Club remained closed to the public. But now restrictions are gradually lifting, Northampton’s Head of Sales Ed Turnham is delighted to be able to re-open the suite – with availability from Saints’ clash against Sale Sharks on Saturday, November 6 nonwards.

“The Tunnel Club has changed the way supporters can experience rugby and hospitality forever,” he said. “Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at Saints, and we are thrilled to be delivering the only hospitality experience of this kind in rugby.

“A matchday in the Tunnel Club allows you and your guests to go behind the scenes at Franklin’s Gardens, while also enjoying exceptional hospitality in the Church’s Stand.

“It’s been incredibly frustrating to see the suite sit empty during the coronavirus pandemic while restrictions have understandably been in place, but that has only strengthened our resolve to deliver a truly unique and unforgettable experience for our guests this season.”

With the suite devised by WISH London – an interior architecture and design company with a wealth of experience in high-end hospitality – the Tunnel Club provides a unique, innovative and elegant space to take matchday experiences to a whole new level.

Every matchday Tunnel Club package includes a champagne reception and bottomless bar service, with a sumptuous five-course meal cooked by the players’ own chef.

Before the match, Saints’ Director of Rugby Chris Boyd will provide a pre-game talk, while guests can take in the extraordinary views of the tunnel through one-way glass from the private box beside Saints’ changing room.

A half-time and full-time grazing menu is also provided, and guests will enjoy all the match action from a padded seat in the Church’s Stand, directly behind Saints players’ dug-out.

Post-match, guests will be treated to an interview with one of Northampton’s players as soon as they step off the field, while other benefits of the Tunnel Club package include VIP parking, a personal Saints Store shopper, an exclusive matchday gift and wifi access.

Ed Turnham added:

“At Saints we have a range of options to suit any budget – from our Heroes Restaurant and Captain’s Club all the way up to more premium offerings like the Michael Jones Champions Suite, Directors Experience and, of course, the Tunnel Club.

“Our hospitality is on sale all year round to improve the experience further for our customers and ensure no-one misses out on some of the finest hospitality in English rugby!

“We look forward to welcoming both existing and new supporters over the months ahead.”
