Tickets go on sale for education’s big night

With all the entries in and the judges ready to get to work, tickets are now on sale for this year’s Milton Keynes Education Awards.

Now in their third year, the awards celebrate the best schools, teams and individuals from in and around the city, and this year’s event promises to be an evening to remember.

Matthew Burton, who came to prominence on the Channel 4 series Educating Yorkshire, will be the host for the evening, which will be held on Friday, July 11 at the Leonardo Hotel on Midsummer Boulevard.

Joining Matthew and the organisers will be headline sponsor Brioche Pasquier, along with the category sponsors, the judges and, of course, the finalists and their colleagues, friends and families.

There are 13 categories up for grabs, including Headteacher of the Year, IT Champion, the Sports Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award – and sponsorship opportunities are still available for those who would like to get involved and be part of the biggest annual celebration of the Milton Keynes education sector.

Speaking at the awards launch at the Meet of MK event at the Unity Sky Lounge in March, Laila Mahama from Brioche Pasquier said: “We are always proud to support the local education sector because young people in Milton Keynes are our future workforce – the people we need to keep making and selling our products.

“We are delighted to once again be sponsoring the MKEAs, to celebrate the amazing work that goes on in our schools and colleges.”

The awards are organised by All Things Business, which holds an Outstanding accreditation from the Awards Trust Mark scheme for its portfolio of awards, which, as well as the Milton Keynes Education Awards, includes the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards and the Northamptonshire Education Awards.

Ben Thomas, Managing Director of All Things Business, said: “We’re very excited about this year’s Milton Keynes Education Awards, they’ve continued to grow since we first launched them in 2023 and they’ve become a firm fixture in the city’s awards calendar.

“With the help of the businesses and organisations that so generously sponsor categories – to help us pay tribute to those that do so much to help and nurture our children into the amazing adults they will become – we’ve given the educators of Milton Keynes the chance to shine.”
