Wellbeing for all

Arthur Ellis Mental Health Support is again bringing its second free, family-friendly Wellbeing Festival to Milton Keynes in August, and it promises to be even bigger, bolder and more impactful.

Taking place on Sunday August 24 at Great Linford Manor Park, the festival is open to all and is designed to help people explore what wellbeing really means through accessible, inclusive and engaging activities. The event is completely free and those taking part in activities will receive a lunch voucher.

For Arthur Ellis, the Wellbeing Festival isn’t just about one day. It’s part of a much bigger mission to make mental health support better. The charity, which recently won Charity of the Year at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards, works all year round to ensure that children, young people and adults can access timely, effective mental health support without long waits or confusing processes.

The festival is a natural extension of this ethos, putting real tools and support into people’s hands, while bringing the community together in a vibrant and positive environment.

The day is centred around five key wellbeing themes: Move, Focus, Discover, Communicate and Help and across the park these areas will come to life through a variety of interactive activities, workshops and sessions, from mindfulness and movement to creative expression, connection and practical advice.

It’s an opportunity for people to explore what helps them feel grounded, inspired and supported in a safe, stigma-free space.

Powered by local partnerships

This year’s festival is supported by John Lewis, Brioche Pasquier, TSYS and TXM Group, alongside a wide network of local organisations, volunteers and supporters. These partnerships help ensure the event remains free of charge and accessible to everyone.

Jon Manning, Founder and CEO of Arthur Ellis, said: “We want to show that wellbeing doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. With the right support, a bit of creativity, and the power of community, people can make lasting changes to their mental health. That’s what this festival is all about.”

The event comes at a time when demand for mental health support continues to rise, with many people still facing incredibly long waits for help. Events like the Wellbeing Festival provide a proactive, empowering way to connect people with services and support that can help them before they reach crisis point.

Perhaps just as importantly – it’s about fun. From yoga to football, badminton to cake decorating, and with over 29 organisations collaborating, there’s something that both adults and children can get involved with.

How to get involved?

There are a number of ways to be a part of the Wellbeing Festival:

  • Volunteer – volunteers are always welcome to join in and help make the event a success.
  • Exhibit – local businesses or organisations with a passion for creativity, wellness or community engagement are welcome to exhibit or host a workshop at the festival.
  • Sponsor – sponsorship can make a difference to the wider wellbeing strategy across Milton Keynes, so anyone interested in offering support should contact the Arthur Ellis team to discuss.
  • Attend – for a few hours or the whole day, there’s lots to see and do.
