That was the theme for the Wilson Browne Solicitors Staff Awards on Thursday November 18, held at Kettering Park Hotel.
With an introduction from Chairman Kevin Rogers that resonated with every member of staff, it was an evening to give thanks, look back at the past two years and celebrate the successes through one of the worst periods in a generation.
During this period many of Wilson Browne’s employees were classed as key workers, trusting in the board’s openness and finding solutions to difficult circumstances which included;
Begging, borrowing, loaning old laptops, chrome books and tablets
Understanding when some jobs could be done remotely, and some not.
Innovating – witnessing documents over car bonnets, through windows, in reception areas.
Supporting clients, often the older ones, when other firms closed their doors.
With 130 employees attending it was wonderful to see so many people meeting others for the first time and being able to put a name to a face they had only seen over zoom.
With 14 award categories voted by the partners and staff there was something for everyone. Special mentions must go to newcomer Solicitor Kayleigh Brown, who walked away with three trophies, as well as the Employee of the Year Residential Conveyancing Paralegal Jodie who won a holiday – congratulations to Jodie!
