With over 100 female members Northampton Golf Club (NGC) is committed to reducing the gender gap in golf. The club’s initiatives are part of a commitment to the R&A Women in Golf Charter – to drive change and make golf as diverse and inclusive as possible.
Golf is a great way for women in business to build relationships, network, and even have some fun. It’s no surprise that more and more female executives are taking up the game of golf. Women who play golf enjoy many benefits, such as increased confidence, improved networking opportunities, enhanced leadership skills, and an overall sense of satisfaction from mastering something new.
Not only can playing golf help professionally but it is also an enjoyable recreational activity.
Golf is a wonderful sport for women who want to take advantage of all the perks that come with being involved in the business world while still having time to relax and unwind on the course.
Over the years, NGC has hosted events aimed at bringing more women into golf and continues to run taster sessions and coaching groups throughout the year. Over the next few months, a few events for female golfers of all abilities are planned.
Taster sessions for women
Two taster sessions are available in March for women wanting to try their hand at golf in a fun and social environment:

These events are free to join and will be run by PGA Professional Paul Hodgkiss and PGA Trainee Professional, Henry Edwards. All equipment will be provided.
